What it does
archiSum
archiSum is based on the Sum area Python script shared by Mathias Jonathan on the Graphisoft Community forum. We turned the idea into a proper Archicad add-on so the community can use it without needing to run Python, and we're releasing it for free as a way to give back to the original author and to everyone who shares their work in the community.
What it does
archiSum groups by zone number, zone ID, or any custom property you use on zones. The target property is also configurable: write totals to whichever zone property fits your schedule.
- Group zones by zone number, ID, or any custom property
- Sum zone areas per apartment with configurable decimal precision
- Measured area and calculated area modes
- Multi-level filtering by layer or zone category
- Additional property-based filter for fine-grained control
- Write area totals back to a custom zone property
- Summary dialog with zone tree view and exclusion details
- Zone highlighting to preview affected zones before applying
- Run silently, with popup, or full verification mode
- Full undo support for all property changes
Why you would use it
Area schedules are contractual on most projects. Finding out at tender stage that two rooms share a number, or that a zone was stretched and nobody updated its target, is expensive. Running this before every issue is cheap.
Requirements
- Archicad 27 - 29
Interpreting the report
it does not tell you what is wrong.
Notes
Requires the Tapir add-on 1.0.0 or newer. Tested on Archicad 29, 28, 27.
